Lapse

Time’s the only luxury
It will, and never end
A child is richer than any man

Whose weight was tripled in gold
For you can never mend
The way we spent our seconds, for seasons have amends

Winter forces shelter, we huddled close in our retreat
And spring is our comeback, we bloom and we greet

In the summer, we glow, and fall, we carry crops
But the clock, doesn’t care, for weather, when your nature stops
